About the club
Welcome to the website of Brighton Cougars Basketball Club. Cougars is a community basketball club with a ‘Sport for All’ philosophy.
We play at Dorothy Stringer School and attract a broad-based membership of boys and girls from 5 years old through to adult Men and Women. We are currently CLUBMARK accredited by Sport England/England Basketball.
Cougars are dependent on the support of a small, but ever-growing dedicated group of volunteers. Funding is provided mostly through individual membership and subscription fees, with additional funds raised through events, camps and sales of merchandise.
We have sessions running all week for different ages. Our our court timetable is here Court times above. Please note the men's and women's Wednesday night sessions are not currently running.
Depending on what sessions players attend the cost changes. The first session is free and then the next two will be £5.00 after that we like palyers to sign up and become members.
The membership fee is added to subs all of which can be paid yearly, quarterly or monthly. Some players pay as they go along but this works out more expensive.
Some of the sessions are self explanatory others are based on school years.
